![]() | Stan Cooper I'm hoping this is the "Introductions/Greetings message board. I've been trying to find it for some time now. I joined TM on 8th July and I live in the county of Essex in the UK. I'll be 77 later this year, and started playing in 1944 when a Boys Brigade silver band was just starting up. The conducter/teacher used a wooden chair leg to enforce his teaching... In 1966 I gave up playing for 25 years and came back to it in 1991 after I retired. I play a Bach 37/180 silver trumpet with a Bach 3c mpc. I play the second pad on two big bands and am happy to play 3rd in a concert band. They are all local bands. Regards, Stan Cooper. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Stan Cooper Welcome Stan! We have a lot of interesting discussions in these forums. There are more aspects to playing the trumpet and the horns themselves then one would ever imagine. Hope you enjoy it. I favor the same trumpet as you , but am playing mouthpiece roulette, started with 3c and now 7c, with a couple in between. No regular group playing for me yet, though.
