![]() | Stompin in Steeltown Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all, I have posted a few things but never properly introduced myself. My name is Mike and I have been playing trumpet for about five years. More off than on I'm afraid, my job involves travel throughout Canada and the US so I am limited to practice time due to long hours. I used to sing for a hardcore punk band called "No One Survives" and again work destroyed that dream. I have decided that work is too much of a crutch in my life right now and will be dedicating some time to improving my trumpeting. I have so much fun with practicing, I realized a while back that with two girls under three and house that needs too much work... why not start lessons again and prioritize that. Cooper is my first daughter and she loves to hang out and watch me play. I just bought a Conn 22b New York Symphony that has officially become a basket case upon inspection. Holes in the third slide and redrot throughout but it will be great when the repairs have been done. I have a Bach tr-300, an old D.E.G. flugel and Conn 18B coprion bell cornet. I got the 22b so that I would have something a little better to play with, irony. I use ultra pure lubes and find them to be excellent. That's really all right now but will try to be here more often. Take cabs on New Years Eve everybody please. |
