A trumpet or corvette

I guess most people refer to the middle-aged player returning to trumpet as a "comeback" player - I prefer the "middle-aged-crisis" moniker. I told my wife that as part of my middle aged crisis it was a trumpet or a corvette. She was happy to hear I chose the trumpet. I don't really like corvette's, it was more of a negotiating tactic.

It's funny (as part of my crisis), I started a new company the same week I started trumpet lessons. I have a private teacher, and I'm learning stuff I was never taught in school. When you're part of a school band, you don't get a lot of individual attention - at least not at the schools I attended.

I bought a pro trumpet (Schilke, ok, I went pretty overboard), and man am I having fun.

Say hi if you get a chance!

Welcome to TM! Good choice--dents are really hard to remove from a vintage Corvette!

Hard to play high c on a corvette, though.

Welcome Bb.
