Yo! :)

Hi!

I saw that you as a new member are expected to create a thread about yourself, so this is mine.
In case you care, not very likely but I just do as everyone else :P

I live in Sweden in the second largest city called Gothenburg.
I have been playing the Valthorn, dunno what it is in english, from 1st or second grade to 3rd or something, and then switched to trumpet because my dad played and it looked a little bit more fun to play jazz and such.
I'm 16 and first year of Gymnasiet wich is like second or third year of an american High School, I think. So I've been playing for 8-9 years I think.

I play on a Yamaha YTR-736 wich was my dads when he played 20 years ago, I dont know much about trumpets but I know it costed pretty much and has a reversed leadpipe

Anyway, my goal in life is to take the 4C before the end of summer because I only took 2G last christmas

Well, have a nice day.

Hey, Welcome to TrumpetMaster Frippel_C.

We here in Detroit really appreciate the Swedish!

Especially, Nick Lidstrom, Henrik Zetterburg, and Tomas Holmstrom!

Enjoy your stay!

ps
I bought a YTR-736 in 1972 and it served me well.

Re: Yo! :)

Welcome Frippel _ C . I believe what you call the Valthorn is what we call the French horn. I see why you switched to trumpet.
The Valthorn is tough to play !

Hi -

I also visited your city in 1993 during Frank Sinatra's last European tour. We were only there for 3 days, but had a great time!
