All Shook Up

Happy New Year Tony. I hope it's a posperous one for you, despite all the shows closing. The high school in the district I teach in is doing All Shook Up. I"ll be playing the Trumpet 1 book. I've seen a DVD of the Broadway version so I have an idea of the show. Do you anything about it? I thought you or Mr. Wise might be familiar with it. Thanks.
Bob

Re: All Shook Up

Hi Bob -

That sounds like a fun show to play. If I'm not mistaken, the original had 3 tpts. Joe Giorgianni played lead here in NY. I don't know too much about it but it's probably the standard, high energy, Elvis fare.

Good luck with it and please let us know how it turns out.

Happy New Year -
Tony

Re: All Shook Up

I have heard the CD for the show and it sounds like fun. The broadway trumpet section was Joe Giorgianni, Tino Gagliardi, and Brian Pareshi.

Re: All Shook Up

I saw the book today, it does look like fun. This version only has two trumpet books. The show is not until March. This is a high school production with student musicians mixed in so they're starting to rehearse the music from now. I'll keep you posted once it gets going. Thanks for the responses.
