nickpasternack will become famous soon enough
do you know him?

Hi Tony, have you ever played with Benjamin Pasternack? He is a pianist. Maybe you've heard of him. He's my uncle and he thinks he remembers you from somewhere. Just to jog your memory, he played with the Boston Synphony, the Philadelphia Synphony, the New York phil etc. He stills plays with them from time to time. Teaches at the Peabody Institute. Hope you might remember him...

Re: do you know him?

Nick -

The name sounds very familiar but I can't place it. The Boston Pops is as close as I've gotten to any of those groups. I did audition at Peabody but that was in 1982, so I doubt that's it!

I have worked with a jazz vocalist Nicole Pasternack. Any relation that you know of?

Tony

Re: do you know him?

i spoke with him today, he seems to remember your name from something in new york in the 90's. Idk if it rings a bell with you. He started at peabody in 92, so i doubt he would know you from there. He's a Curtis alum. As far as Nicole Pasternack goes, theres sooooooooo many professional musicians and musical people in my family that i don't even know of. Theres a very good possibility that i am related. Many of my distant cousins are musicians. Ill ask my family about that.

Re: do you know him?

I played a concert last April with Nicole Pasternak as my invited guest artist. She's quite a good singer, and we even did a song she had written. She lives in Yonkers and is married to tenor sax great Ralph LaLama.
