Hi Tony,

welcome welcome welcome - I am looking forward to visiting your forum quite frequently and benefiting from your many years of experience. Your discography is astounding to say the least. Thanks for spending time here with the trumpet world.

Have you recorded music for ESPN and did we meet at the Starbucks on 24th and 6th one night around 6? This was about 3 yrs ago. I think we chatted for a second because you were carrying some beautiful cases that looked to be custom made. if it wasn't you, sorry.

Cheers,
Jason

Welcome to the forum. I heard you play lead with the Maria Schneider band at the Reno Jazz festival. You sounded great. You and Ingrid were both tearing it up on Flugel.

Re: Hello TM community!

Tony,

If you haven't heard yet, you get a big shout out from Wayne Bergeron on Episode 4 of Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Chat podcast (you can find it on iTunes). Gordon interviews Wayne and asks him about some of his favorite trumpet players and you are mentioned very favorably.

Sabutin will become famous soon enough
Re: Hello TM community!

Hello Tony. Sam Burtis here. Long time no play. Miss ya.

I think I may have actually figured out something new about brass playing. Please check out my post (BREAKTHROUGH!!! (I have finally broken the embouchure code. I think.)) in the Trumpet Discussion area. I need all of the feedback that I can get. It's almost as new to me as is it appears to be to others, but it's working for me on a very high level so far. (Three weeks and counting.)

Thanks...

Sam
