| Re: James Morrison Thanks Nick - that clip was great! There's also a nice one of James trading with Maynard. The guy is a freak! I have some friends who toured with him in the Philip Morris Superband (early 1990's, I think). They said that he was ridiculous then. What blows me away about him is that in addition to his high chops, you can tell he's a superb musician as well. A very creative improviser with a beautiful sound in the middle & low registers too. Add in his ability to play several instruments and compose and you have one heck of a musician! Tony |

| Re: James Morrison Last summer I had a lesson with Manley. He mentioned Morrison is a freak. The ran through sound checks and Morrison sat reading the paper...stone cold....and when called upon....blew the doors off the place. Morrison just doesn't even think twice about what he did. <G> |

| Re: James Morrison I have heard many great things about him but this is the first time I have seen him play. Incredible! Check out that other Youtube video with him sitting in with Maynard. Besides Maynard, I don't believe I have heard anyone play with that fat tone in all registers......and he makes it look effortless! Last edited by talcito : 01-31-2007 at 08:46 PM. |

Did you get a chance to check out the clinic he gave? He gave some great tips for playing multiple instruments (since he does it so well :) Man, now I'm excited for Idaho again! |
