Finally, a buddy of mine was on a gig that looked like a Fellini movie. The host had hired dwarfs and made them wear sombreros with guacamole dip cups on top of the sombreros. Guests were to dip the guacamole from the tops of the hats.

Ah, show biz!

Nick
Yo Nick, that was great! The next thing is Dwarf Tossing.

I did a dixieland gig last week for a burleqsue/silent film show. Not as interesting as other posts, but at least there was eye candy!

HHJFAN will become famous soon enough
Re: The most bizarre gig you've ever had - or close

Here's one for you - During the early 60's I played with a brass quintet in England. We played a concert at the famous Wigmore Hall
in London. (no rehearsal) Instead of music we were each presented
with illustrated scenic pages. Our "parts" were all different. We were asked to perform together in any key and play according to how we should interpret the scene musically. On one page I had to play with my bell in a bucket of water. At the close of the concert the stage became crowded and the general comment was "wonderful" ! ? !

Wow, that's pretty hip. Especially for the early 1960's!
