Actually, James left Gypsy before Tony did to do Billy Elliot. John Chudoba is now playing lead.

I attended the show Fosse. My brother was a sub in the band. In the second act the band is onstage. When they open the curtain and the band started playing. I heard a woman sitting next to me say to her friend. I didn't know they still use live musicians. btw Glen Drews played a great solo in that show.

I suppose that's one of the great features of community bands - often the band IS the show. It's a great pity that all you great players are 'concealed' though.
