I think I remember reading that you recorded some of these lyrical trumpet passages previously for one of the news channels, is that you on the theme they are running now? Beautiful playing whoever is doing it.

I've not seen any coverage (MSNBC or otherwise), and I don't recall doing anything for them recently. Not sure who that might be.

Sometimes networks will have a library of things that they can use for any purpose. Players go in and spend several hours recording various different non-specific type pieces - ex.: a triumphant one (maybe used for something like election coverage), a somber one (possibly for when a famous person dies), a majestic one (for times of crisis or a special event), etc... Then the network has these laying around for use whenever it's needed. It's actually a good system.
