tragic loss

I was just informed that saxophonist Gerry Niewood was killed on the flight from Newark to Buffalo last night. He was on his way to play with Chuck Mangione and the Buffalo Philharmonic. Gerry was a sensational player and fun guy to be around. My condolences go out to his family and to the families of everyone affected by this tragedy.

Brass crusader will become famous soon enough
Re: tragic loss

It's a terrible tragedy, such a great player, and so many other people on board that plane.

Re: tragic loss

It was a tragic accident, nothing more. I don't know what that person was trying to say, Chuck.
