Ahhhh, yes, well I've just tried that Bachstul - nothing except "Unable to Save Image" - any other thoughts?

(The "Tom Terrific and Mighty Manfred - The Wonder Dog" image was one I had manipulated. Tom Terrific was a creation of Terry Toons, I believe, back in 1957 - it came to Aussie TV the year after TV was first broadcast in Oz. Other characters included Crabby Appleton).

Still doesnt work that way either....is there not a system admin that reads these posts that could possibly shed some light on why this doesnt work? I do appreciate the feedback but it seems that since others are having the same issue could be a problem with the website? Just wondering.....well I wont try anymore till its resolved...thanks guys

Still unable to add an avatar - I thought I would try deleting Tom Terrific and using another image - zip. I then attempted to re-establish Tom and Manfred, 'cause I knew that they at least worked - nana.
Maybe the avatar box is full?

Maybe "they" don't want us to have an avatar?

Maybe we've upset somebody - nahhh, that's just too silly to contemplate?

Maybe you need to have 2,000,000 posts to warrant and avatar?

Maybe our avatars are inappropriate?

Maybe no-one is listening?

Maybe I should just shut-up?

Relieved to see I'm not the only one having this issue. When I try to upload from PC, I get "Unable to Save File"; from internet, "Invalid File." I did see something in the help pages that says the photo upload feature "may not be activated by the administrator." I, too, get the impression, perhaps one has to post awhile here to earn photo uploading priviledges. Or maybe the administrator periodically activates uploading for newer members. Guess I'll just keep trying from time to time.

No F DiM I do not think that there is an inhibit on any individual having an avatar - I've had a few in the not to distant past - I think it may be a computer glitch and the goodies will win in the end - there may be some sort of memory issue. Take care, I'm just being flippant.

I also cannot upload an avatar even though the image is a jpg that is well under the size restraints.

I can't either, neither from my desktop nor via URL on Flickr. Seems this has been a problem since (at the latest) June??
