![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Cannot upload an image All well and good, but even with Photobucket and compressd images and the right sizes, and the correct dimensions I STILL GET STUFF ALL. Even images that once worked are now unacceptable - I believe there is a system fault and that it has been here for some time, and despite all the redirection it is still not working

![]() | Re: Cannot upload an image I think we're all together on this. Something is amiss. I'll look into this type of forum's code to see where the problem may lie, and more importantly where a solution is hidden. Joe |

![]() | Re: Cannot upload an image veery, I even sent an e-mail to somebody at TM, and rec'd no reply about this. My image was waaaay smaller than the mandated size, and still no success. Like you/others have said, I was able to do this months ago, but this is no longer the case. I wish they'd fix this problem. I like having an avatar -- makes finding my posts easier among the many.

What I WOULD like is to engage an admin with "AdminCP" access in a dialog so we can fix this problem once and for all. It kinda blows me away the level of frustration I'm digging up with regards to image and avatar uploading. There should not be an issue period. People should NOT have to fumble around experimenting with alternate browsers, or trying desperately to resize images again and again to no avail. I know there are work arounds such as ImageShack, but that is a bandaid approach, no? If there is an issue with vBulletin 3.7.2 (a less than new version) then lets try and find a fix. Is the upload folder CHMOD'd 777? Is the Max Disk Space set to zero for unlimited? With this version being so outdated perhaps we've come to the end of the planned disk space. If that is the issue, then perhaps that should be a brought to the users' attention. Maybe we could raise cash with memberships...$20/yr for unlimited attachments and ? Just an idea. I've seen that in other forums and it works pretty well. I guess I'm hoping an admin with access to the AdminCP will come forth and assure us that EVERYTHING is tweaked perfectly and STILL the problems persist. Offer a reason why an upgrade in either vBulletin software or server space is a no go, and make ALL of that a sticky in this sub-forum so idiots like me won't bash around in the search function collecting a slew of similarly baffled user posts/threads and feel powerless to effect any change towards a solution. Peace, Joe | |
