Cannot upload an image

I'm trying to upload images, without success. I am very familiar with this style BB, and yet I'm at a loss as to what is going wrong. The images are .jpgs, and are less than the limit. Originally the .jpg was approx. 900x? and 63kb since I didn't see a size limit; only kb limit. I later pared it down to 450x250 approx. and still no luck.

Some BB restrict image posting below a certain member post count. Is that at play here?

Try making the width no wider than 120.

I have been unable to upload any image, even ones much smaller than the guidelines. "Unable to save image." is the response.

While early on I was able to post my own avatar, I have been unable to do so for a long-long time.
Something is not right.

Hmmm,

Does anyone know who is responsible for upgrading the forum software, and making the appropriate tweaks?

Seems a real shame to miss out on posting (uploading) images if it's as simple as modifying a few fields server side.

For the sake of expedience, does anyone know a decent/free image host?

I shot over to the imageshack url and it seems that I didn't even have to sign up to get the images I wanted to post here up and running.

Watch, I'm probably looking at a chached image on my system, and you all looking at a broken link
