| Fortissimo User | Easy one! Go to "User CP", then "Edit Options" and then scroll down to "Date and Time Options". |

| New Friend | Searches When searching the forums, I discovered that the search engine ignores any short words (3 or less letters I think.) Ignoring words like "the" or "a" makes sense, but it also ignores more important things like "ear," "lip," etc. Changing this would be a HUGE help in hunting down posts about certain topics. Thanks!

| Forte User | I understand the security feature that logs you off after the software does not recognize activity following a given period of time. Is there a way that can be lengthened? When I make a longer post and proofread it, then hit the submit button, I find that I have to log in again, and there goes my post! Lost!

![]() | I want to second Glenn's post re: inactivity time. I has been the source of considerable frustration for me. I got kicked off while prepping this reply! I don't want to use the "remember me" function.

![]() | Why all of the security stuff? Now you cannot even browse the site without being registered? Is this to be able to quantify site-hits for the advertisers? The above was based on innacurate information from a section mate. Please disregard. GCS

![]() | Sorry, I sent a section mate here this weekend and he reported that he couldn't view any posts without being registered. I just tried it from my wife's Yahoo login and it worked fine. Comment retracted.

| Forte User | Whatever security option is in place that logs a user off following a period of inactivity. I get that; it means that someone cant come in and post under my name if I walk away from my computer while logged on. The frustrating part is losing the longer posts.
