![]() ![]() ![]() | A new idea Hello, A while back, I started a thread about playing lead and what liberties we could take as a lead player. I wanted to start another thread about the same thing but this time I would post the music I was talking about. I couldn't upload the music to the site so I gave up. I still want to do this idea. We could pick a big band chart. (if you want the one I was going to use, I can email it. It's in my computer as a PDF) and talk about how to play it. Since everybody is looking at the same chart, we can reference measure numbers. Maybe we could do this with a concerto. How great would it be if we could get Ed to post his copy of a concerto and explain what his notes on the page are? Wilmer could post a page from West Side Story and tell us why he had to play the notes this way or that way or why it was so important to play as written. You get the idea. Thanks, Joe
