| Re: Something wrong with this forum? There are dozens of possible causes for intermittent 404/forbidden errors. Problems like this often crop up after the installation of an update or service pack on the web server or associated devices like firewalls and load balancers. What you see at your browser is the result of thousands and thousands, (etc,) lines of computer code -when it breaks it can be a bear to resolve the problem. Going away and returning later is the best practice, and reduces the load making resolution easier for the folks managing the site.

 | Re: Something wrong with this forum? I've been having a LOT of trouble over the past couple of days using Safari. I hit a link, get an error message, wait, hit the link again, and I get the page. This should NOT be happening this frequently on ANY site. Once in a while and you've got Gremlins, but when it happens this consistently, there's something wrong.......moderator/webmaster? bigtiny |
