Suggestion regarding highlighting unread posts

Forum headings are highlighted in red when they contain unread posts. The unread posts are highlighted in bold inside each forum as well. This is a very useful feature that enables members to keep track of new posts. But when those new posts are spam posts members must open the spam posts to clear this feature.

I realize forum software varies but would it be possible to implement a "Mark all posts as read" option so readers aren't forced to open spam posts just to clear the highlights?

Thanks.
Bob

On the blue bar that has "User CP" on the left and "Log Out" on the right, you will find a "Quick Links" menu.

Click on the pull down menu and select "Mark Forums Read."

Thanks Schwab.

I gave it a try but this action marks ALL forums read. Is it possible to implement this function independently for each forum?

Re: Suggestion regarding highlighting unread posts

One of the Quick Links is "Today's Posts", which displays all of the posts since you last read the forum. No need to enter each additional forum. When you're done reading what you want, you can do "Mark Forums Read" and you're set for the next time.
