| New Friend | Drones Hi Ingrid :) I remember one post about tuning where you talked about practicing with drones.. How you make these drones, which software? And don't you write a book with cd about it, sounds so interesting...at least a pdf "drones for dummies" for free download... Thanks for your input! |

| Re: Drones Sorry for not posting on this sooner. Yes- drones. I am doing a clinic on this at banff in June with Walter White, whose droning Cd got me into all of this. Thank you for the idea...I will get a book of some sort together on this, or better yet- a DVD. If you can swing the $75, I get into the idea extensively on my site. The trumpet lesson participant is based on practicing this way, it's designed to really get you into hearing the changes and correcting weak intervals. I have posted on this in some other areas on this forum of mine... will try to pinpoint which thread when I get a minute. More practice to do... |

| Mezzo Forte User | Re: Drones I use a program "Freaky Tuner" on my mac, but not sure if it for both PC and mac. I usually use the organ sound and crank the speakers up. Doing Stamp with drones is amazing. |

| Re: Drones or even if your tuner has a pitch changeable noisemaker that can be used as a drone too not the most pretty but it does the job |

| Re: Drones Jerry Coker used to have a drone tape out...It came with a book with a bee on the cover...I have since lost it...It was a cassette tape and had some cool drones to improvise with. Does anyone know if it's reissued? I can't seem to find it. All the best, Lex. |
