I'm a bit late on posting this one. I NEED TEN ASSISTANTS!!

Wow...I really dig what Dave had to say in that post. I hear a lot of musicians talk about getting away from standards and classic bebop vocabulary, but I always ask them why not ALSO know that stuff? It'll just give you more tools to use in your improvisations.
