| Ingrid in montreal off to Toronto Just want you all to know that a got to hear some great music since Friday. Ingrid played in a local club here co-led with her sister Christine "Nordic Connect". A great night of wonderful music. Tonight I got to hear her in another setting with many great players from New York, Montreal and Toronto. It was Darcy James Argue's Secret Society.Possibly not what the folks in Red Deer Alberta might like but definitely a very enthusiastic crowd here in Montreal for some very difficult contemporary charts. These 2 groups are heading to Toronto for the IAJE conference so check em'out if you are attending! Thanks Ingrid for contributing to my mandatory fun and inspiring my world! Take care and all the best! |

| Re: Ingrid in montreal off to Toronto Don't miss them at all price in Toronto! I was informed a bit too late about the Darcy James Argue's Secret Society show but I know at least two other musicians who played yesterday that I really recommend to any audience : Gordon Webster on the piano and Jocelyn Couture at the trumpet. | Re: Ingrid in montreal off to Toronto Gordon Webster is a great pianist. He is down in NYC now. His brother Mike is also a fantastic tenor player, composer, arranger. |
