WTB/WTT: Schilke M1 or M2

Ive been looking for a Schilke M1 or M2, I'm willing to trade my Yamaha YTR-01 (discontinued student model) and my Olds intermediate trumpet for this horn. I'm also willing to buy it for up to $400.

Re: WTB/WTT: Schilke M1 or M2

I would not bother....the Schilke M models were an intermediate horn.

They were plagued with many valve problems.

Go to the Schilke Loyalist and read more about them.

Then find something else.

Re: WTB/WTT: Schilke M1 or M2

The M2's were Yamahas with a Schilke leadpipe and tuning slide. the valves were fitted at the Schilke shop. The pistons were the infamous "yamaloy." The M1's were all Yamaha. For a time Schilke did use the Yamaha valve section on his ML bore B series horns. They played well but had the same problems with the valves as Yamaha.

Find yourself a used B1, B2 or B5 (all ML .460" bore)
