![]() | WTS 1949 Deluxe Martin Committee Thanks for looking, but this hottie has a new home. Guys, I am selling my 1949 Deluxe Martin Committee M bore, serial #170,xxx. I am the second owner. The horn is completely original, spotless leadpipe, no red rot, spotless valves. All parts move as they should. The very talented Charlie Melk did the restoration work and she's simply gorgeous, in absolutely pristine condition. The floral engraving is crisp and clear. What else can I say? These horns speak for themselves. $2,850. . Last edited by Daff; 11-15-2008 at 08:14 PM. |

![]() | Re: WTS 1949 Deluxe Martin Committee Hey! How ya doing A.N.A.? (Have a real name BTW?) It really is gorgeous, but I have decided to sell all but three of my Bb's, and maybe even paring back further to focus less energy on collecting and more on the music. After having the many horns around, it's a relief to be done with the safari and collecting and to be as completely 'at home' as I am with the 'finalists', a Hub van Laar B4, a very nice1969 Strad, and a very nice Mt. Vernon Strad. No reason to lust for any others. These three are similar yet different, very well matched to my sound concept, response, and feel that I like in a horn, everything, so I'm done. |
