gzent has a spectacular aura about
WTS: Custom Olds Bb Trumpet

Here is my heavily customized Olds Ambassador trumpet.
It features a Pilzcuk leadpipe for outstanding intonation and projection,
heavy braces, custom made heavy bottom caps and heavy tuning slide.

This horn must be played to be appreciated.
The projection of this horn rivals horns costing thousands, seriously.

I used to sell these horns for around $750 before the economy tanked.
Right now I just want the cost of my parts out of it, $350.

Several members on TM have played my customized horns and know
what a great deal they are. If you need a horn for all types of music
that plays great then why not try this one?

Love those Ambassadors. If someone hasn't beaten me to it, call that thing sold. I'll PM to determine shipping cost and payment (PayPal OK?).

Re: WTS: Custom Olds Bb Trumpet

Did you ever miss out! It arrived today, in the same mail delivery with a Monette B1.5M, hardly a screamer's choice but a very lucky one. My wife said I sounded better on it than on any horn I've picked up in a long time. Even with that large mouthpiece, I hit notes I don't remember ever reaching before. Not all were things of beauty, but there was nary a squeaker in the bunch. Slotting is great, and the Pilczuk leadpipe is worth every cent. Every note rings clearly. It's going to be put through a tougher test soon, and compared to some very fine trumpets, but so far, I'm just about blown away by how well it plays.

Greg: If you have more, I call "dibs" on the next one. I have a feeling I'm going to have to fight my granddaughter over this one once she tries it.
