![]() | WTS: Customized Yamaha 8310Z Yamaha Custom Z 8310ZS in very excellent shape. I spaced mentioning this in my previous post, the lead pipe was actually tweaked and customized by Mr. Bobby Shew himself, SO IT IS NOT A FACTORY HORN (have references to authenticate this customization). Im not going to ramble off a bunch of technical stuff here, im sure everyone here already knows about this horn, but as you can see from the pics it has never been dropped or dented in the slightest bit. All the slides are still as smooth as they were when I first received it straight from the factory. It has a 0.445" medium bore and 5" bell diameter. Still has original mother-of-pearl finger buttons. The lead pipe was flared by Bobby Shew (not going to spill his actual customization process here...its a secret and don't think he would like me leaking it all over the internet), and plays even more open and more slotted than when it came from the factory....its unbelievable how better this horn is even from its original amazing ability (again, this is not a factory 8310Z, it is customized beyond its original factory state). All valves are perfect and completely free of any oxidation. The only thing that separates this trumpet with a brand new one is the slightly visible tiny scratches that comes with use of any instrument for a period of time, and of course the customization done by Mr. Shew. Comes with the original Custom Z case and the Bobby Shew Jazz mouthpiece. If you have a specific mouthpiece other than this, such as a 7C or 3C, etc., let me know and I may be able to throw that in as well. I have used this horn for everything calling for a Bb trumpet, but I am now expanding my horizons to purchasing and adding more custom and specific trumpets into my collection. Asking around $1200 . Let me know if you are interested and we can see what we can come up with. Last edited by avsfan2119; 06-15-2009 at 05:10 PM. |

![]() | Re: WTS: Customized Yamaha 8310Z I am very interested. I think that I might have seen this horn advertised recently on ebay. I had an interest in it then but it was removed almost immediately. I saw a picture of it, but I would really like to see it again. Send me the pictures at your earliest opportunity. My e-mail address is jvgus5@aol.com. Do you take paypal? Also how old is this trumpet? If it is all that you say... I think we can do business. Thanks and enjoy the 4th. Jessman |
