WTS Edwards Gen. II Bb
Hey all,
I have doubles, and need to unload a Bb.
This horn is BEAUTIFUL. It's in brushed gold finish, with heavy valve caps. This instrument was purchased by its first owner in January of 2009.
The Getzen valve block is on of the smoothest, fastest blocks I've ever played.
The horn is a .462 ML bore.
Bell is Edwards' M taper, 22-gauge, yellow brass bell.
Leadpipe is their D3 medium-large.
This horn plays with a VERY warm, fat (phat?) sound that I love, but don't need.
No blemishes. Gold is a little thinned at contact points, but was that way when I received the instrument. No dings, dents, trauma. There is a repair that could be made: Edwards instruments are built with an adjustable post between the bell and the 2nd valve. This screws up or down to add an acoustical node in the instrument, adding a few extra higher overtones. This screw is stripped, and could probably be fixed fairly easily.
Would like offers for trades for a KILLER Eb horn, ideally Schilke's E3L-4, or something made by Larson or Blackburn.
Price is $2500 firm (or trade + cash). This horn is in excellent shape, and would cost around $4000 dollars new.
Thanks for looking!
