WTS Large Bore #3 1947 Committee

This is a great original example of the year and bore everyone wants. It is a #3 largebore horn serial 161XXX. The lacquer is about 85-90% on this trumpet. I will post pics when it is back from the shop in a few days. I am getting it carefully cleaned and new felts, springs and corks put in. This is a nice original horn. For now I am listing it for $4500 to see the interest level. This is a wonderful horn and the top collectible Martin around. I have owned several medium bore martins and they go for about $1800-2200 in this condition. But large bores are very rare and play much better.

Re: WTS Large Bore #3 1947 Committee

I am interested in your#3 large bore 1947 Martin Committee. I would like to see pictures of it, especially a long view of the right side, the bell flare engraving, and the serial number. I would prefer not to communicate and/or conduct a transaction in a public forum. My email address is

mcbrassman@gmail.com.

Where are you located? I'm located in western Massachusetts, USA 01040. If you contact me here, I'll give you my phone number and address.

Thank you.

It is my understanding that it was SOLD the first day it was posted and the poster doesn't know how to delete the posting now.

All the original poster would have to do is read the instructions for posting an ad.
