![]() | WTS Olds Recording Bb Trumpet ![]() Hi trumpeters, I have a very nice Olds Recording Model Bb trumpet available. Case is included and is in good shape. If you know trumpets, you know this is a very fine horn with many unique features. When I first got it a few years back, there was a slight "thunk" kind of noise from the third valve when it came up. I had this professionally repaired, and now the noise is gone. The guy who repaired it, who is a local pro here in New Orleans also played it for me, and he said it was in great shape. He sounded great on it too. I am mostly playing sax and guitar these days, and have another trumpet as well, so I am looking to sell this horn to someone who will use it. $900 plus shipping to your location. You can contact me directly by email at jnh@epsno.com (note, you will have to "confirm" your email - just follow the instructions and your email will get through.) |

![]() | Re: WTS Olds Recording Bb Trumpet In response to a member inquiry, I'd like to add that the serial number is 826xxx, which places it in the early 1970's according to one serial number site that I saw. I also have some additional pictures which I can send by email. |

![]() | Re: WTS Olds Recording Bb Trumpet I now own gallerytungsten's Olds Recording and it is a delightful horn, and in great shape. It has a nickel lead pipe rather than red brass, but it would take a much better ear than mine to discern the difference. And yes, the third valve "thunk" is long gone!
