WTS: Olds Super, 1969

This item has been sold. It was a very good year in Fullerton. Olds was cranking out horns that simply sound wonderful, and this is a perfect example. My Super has some scratches on the left side of the bell where it may have rested for too long on a rough surface but the rest of the brass is almost entirely scratch free, only a couple of small dents, not obvious. The valves were just lapped and play tight and terrific, but they do need oil most everytime out-- they are 40 years old, after all. and the sound is like shimmering crystal. I had the music director for a show here in LA play it up to high G and he just turned, nodded his head and said, "Wow."

I have a case if you like, but it's heavy and will cost an additional 35 to ship. Otherwise, $25 additional for shipping. paypal only, or cash in person here in LA. A Bach 7C or Schilke 14A4A if you really want it. I've been a poster here for quite sometime and have sold a number of horns, including other Olds. Testimonials and pics upon request.
