    WTS/WTT: Boston Star Trumpet

    For sale or trade Boston Star trumpet serial # 9367 putting its build date at 1887. The horn is in fantastic shape with 99% silver plating intact. I had the valves redone by Andersons and they are not broken in yet. it looks like at one time the back bell brace and the front lead pipe brace has been re-soldered. the m.p. reciever needs to be reamed out to accept the larger shank modern mouth pieces. a couple of very small pin sized pings, camera could not pick them up. horn actually feels alive when you play it. just need to clean out my closet so that I can add 1 or 2 horns before I quit playing. asking $800 or may trade for a L.A. Benge 3mlp or Bach Strad 37 large bore in like condition.

    would like to trade for a 60's or early 70's Getzen Eterna "Doc" horn in good shape. don't care if it is laquer or silver - my wife wants her 69 Getzen "Doc" horn back and I love it.
