![]() | WTS/WTT: LA Benge 2X #17515 Silver 99.44% - $650 OBO A beautiful LA Benge 2X with ML Bore. Silver finish is original and totally intact. Trumpet has what seems like shorter valves compared to other Benges that I've played, but can't find any definitive information about that. Perhaps it's because it has the optional concave finger buttons which are very comfortable to play. Horn was built in 1975 and has the serial numbers (they match) stamped on the valves. Not sure when they stopped doing that, but I've had a 1978 3X which did not have this. There are a few pings which I tried to capture in the pictures. The bell looks to have had some dents removed in the past. Valves are super fast with very little wear as the pictures show. This horn plays really great. It can sizzle like no other trumpet I know of, but it's not stuffy or restrictive at all. It's an order of magnitude better than the 3X that I had prior to it. I'm just really looking for a bigger, heavier, darker horn. If you've got one of similar quality, I'd be amenable to working out a trade. Here's a link to some photos that I took: Picasa Web Albums - fannyfoodle - Trumpet - Ben... I can be contacted at fannyfoodle@yahoo.com Thanks! |

What an incredible horn this Yamaha is! I don't know if this is just an exceptionally good specimen or if they're all like this but...WHOA! One of the best horns I've ever played. Thanks for looking. |
