WTT/WTB bach 37 or Yamaha pro model

    Hello everyone!
Im in need of a bach strad or recent 6xxx or 8xxx series yamaha trumpet, as my Holton B47 doenst fit well with a section of strads and xenos at my university.
Anyway, i need a used bach or yammie. I don't mind if its well used, as long as its in moderatly good working order
I can trade away the Holton B47, an Eastman 522g Bb trumpet, or my Kanstul 930 Cornet.
I have some money, but not much. Perfectly okay with making payments, if you are.
    Thank you for your time!

I noticed a Xeno for sale in Ottawa on Kijiji, he said he still ship, asking $1,900 Canadian, which is like $200 American :p

Dillon Music always has a pretty extensive selection of used trumpets. Check this page out: Dillon Music - Bb Trumpets

Also, I'm pretty sure they still do trade ins.

    More like $1,400

But I think he is looking for a Bb, not a C.

Yeah, i need a Bb. Transposing everything does not sound fun!
Ive concidered dillion, but, i cant drive up there and try the horn before buying it, and that terrifies me to do from a store. Id rather talk to a tmer and know roughly how the horn plays before pulling the trigger.

I personally would recommend to buy a used Xeno from Carolina Crown. Crown plays them for a season, and then sells them for discount prices. Yamaha has very good quality control, and Crown has a Yamaha guy look over the instruments, if you are worried about buying before trying. That is where I got mine, and I love it. It was in great condition, with only a few dings, light scratches, and one minor bend in the bell bow (towards the first valve slide, but not by much). It all depends on the one you get. Mine plays very well, and was around $1000 USD off. Their customer service is very helpful. The horn below is a reverse lead pipe.

    Yeah, i know the model!
I marched one at the colts dbc, with the thumb ring instead of a saddle. I like them well enough! If i was going to buy a corps trumpet, it would be one i marched on though, for the sentamentalness factor.
Its a good option to have though, thank you!

    Damn....if I had one I would, I've been looking for a b47 for a while now.
Lots of old horns...some Bachs, Some conns, A Getzen or two...
The music is in the player, not the horn. Find the sound in yourself first.

You can call Dillon's and speak to one of their trumpet specialists (I've always talked to Perry). They can get the horn of interest in their hand and answer any questions you may have.

I'm not affiliated with them or anything, I've just had multiple good experiences with them....as I'm sure others here have as well. Based on your original post, they're the first place that comes to mind. Used horn selection with MANY of the models you specified, a trade in program, and great customer service/trustworthy business.

Austin Custom Brass is probably another good pick...speak with Trent.
