Bach Chicago C in as new condition. Bought in December 2008 then our new Parish music director decided in January she'd prefer organ only, and no brass. So, I've touched it twice since then. S/N 6703XX Includes Bach double case and the accessory pack which has never been opened. $25 for CONUS USPS Priority Mail insured shipping (I'll pay the additional). PayPal, please. High res pix are available. $1950.00

It's fine. I'm just wondering, are you a professional player? Or is there any way I can be sure this is a solid, beautiful sounding horn?

I only ask, because I know of the tendencies with Bach's... Especially nowadays.

Re: WTS - Bach Chicago C as new

Sorry, I'm not a professional. It's a recent production (late 2008) that I no longer have need for.

I've no issues with the way it plays.

BTW, I've purchased this Chicago C, a new 37 and a new Vindabona 72 between last November and March, and all are great players. The quality Bach is turning out nowadays is as good as any of the mainstream manufacturers. This stuff about wide variances in new horns is hot air, I think.

Or you might have just been lucky.

Ok, well I am certainly interested, I'll see what I can do about funds.
Thanks!

Just an opinion but these horns have a beautiful opulent sound witha resonant core. Bachs now a days are very well made and sounding. I own vintage Bachs (see signature) and the current Bachs (post strike) are a vintage that people knowledgable about Bach want. These are some of the best and easiest playing horns Bach has produced.

Your comment regarding him maybe "being lucky" isn't remotely valid now a days. Old heresey rumors are just that. You would be hard pressed to find a finer C trumpet if Forrests horn is in its original new like condition. No I don't know forrest.

Re: WTS - Bach Chicago C as new

Thanks, 65Strad, for confirming what I said. It's a great horn, but since I hardly ever play C, I don't need it. I still own a Selmer Radial in C that matches a Bb I own, so if push comes to shove, I can use it. Just seems a waste to have a new horn sitting in the case, unused.

Regardless, I listed it on eBay and the auction ends tomorrow. I hope someone ends up with a great horn, at a more-than-fair price.

Ok. I am very interested in the Bach Chicago C.
My trumpet teacher bought one before it was even put into production. He said that it's a great horn, but it seemed a little tight, and not as free-blowing and his other C.
Although I'd love to buy this one right now, I don't quite have that much money, and it looks like some other lucky buyer is going to get this horn on eBay.

Thanks anyway!
