For sale is a spectacular ML bore C700 Tuning Bell Selmer in lacquer. The S/N (69XXX) places its manufacture in November 1978 according to an acquaintance at the Selmer factory in Paris. In all my years buying and selling Selmers, I've never run across another tuning bell from them.

The lacquer is perfect except for 2 very small spots on the outside of the bell crook, with no wear at the contact points. I'd call it 98-99%. The horn plays exceptionally well and is ideal for quintet work. The valves do have the staining common to Monel Selmer valves of that period but they are very fast, and compression is excellent. A barely noticeable ding where the tuning slide goes into the 3rd valve, and another near the valve cluster on the bell flare. There is a small mute ping on the bell. The case is in great shape, with latches that work as they should and the original keys.

It's an excellent horn for someone looking for a high quality, classic C trumpet, and won't disappoint. High res pix are available. The price includes shipping to CONUS with insurance.

All in all, it's a great 30 plus year old horn without any miles on it. $900 shipped to the CONUS with insurance.
