WTS: Lechner E-flat

Hello,
A few years ago I purchased this amazing horn in Austria. It is a Lechner E-flat trumpet with a gold plated bell. This is a piston trumpet not a rotary. The horn plays beautifully and is in mint conditions. I am selling because I have 2 e-flats and I am not using it enough to keep it. Bought new for $4000.00 will sell for $2800.00 + shipping.

Re: WTS: Lechner E-flat

I writing on behalf of a friend who is looking for an e-flat. We are both good friends of Steve Johnson, we went to the Cincinnati Conservatory with him. What would you compare this instrument to? Can I ask what E-flat trumpet you are keeping. I currently play a Thein E-flat/D trumpet, and am finding it a bit of a big blow. How does is feel...is it a "big" playing horn (more like a Thein or Blackburn) or is it a lighter horn (like a Schilke)? Hope to hear from you soon. Jessie
