WTS Rare Mt.Vernon Bach Eb/D Trumpet

Rare mid fifties Mt Vernon Bach Eb/D trumpet In lacquer (approximately 95%) Beautiful sound, good compression. Has had receiver replaced recently by Osmun. Horn has original D/Eb slides. 1st/3rd rings. This is a small bored Eb/D trumpet with a huge sound. I have used this instrument on the Ravel Piano Concerto in G, Stravinsky violin concerto, Petrouchka etc and it served me well. Has a 304 bell with French Rim. $2500.00, I may consider reasonable offers.

Re: WTS Rare Mt.Vernon Bach Eb/D Trumpet

do you have pictures? Also is it a long bell model, similar to the Bach Ebs being made currently?

Re: WTS Rare Mt.Vernon Bach Eb/D Trumpet

It is a short model Bach Eb/D. Here are some pictures...lacquer is very nice for its age, the red splotch on the D slide is a blemish, not red rot (it was examined by Jim Becker at Osmun, who recently gave the instrument a going over).
