WTS: SCHILKE E3L-4 Eb/D Trumpet W/ BOTH Bells & Slides!

I'm selling another gem and rare find out of my quiver of horns. It is a Schilke E3L-4 Eb/D Trumpet. This is the hard to find 4 valve model and INCLUDES the extra D bell and slides! The horn is extremely versatile and sounds amazing! There are no dents or dings to speak of and the beautiful silver finish is 100%. Serial number is 44xxx and was made sometime in the year 2000.

The D bell is a beryllium bronze and sounds fantastic. The extra bell and slides are a custom extra order option from Schilke and runs $1,000+ alone! It has a M (0.450") bore and a 5" Yellow Brass bell. This is a heavier horn than the normal E3L and Yamaha 9610 similarly and plays with much more core to the sound spectrum. All slides move like butter and the valves have near perfect compression as expected. This horn was previously owned by a major symphonic player in the Houston, TX area.

This horn has great intonation and such a gorgeous sound with terrific dynamic contrast. With the correct mouthpiece selection, you can make it sound like a smaller solo horn for the Haydn, Hummel, and excepts such as Petrouchka's Ballerina dance. Or, you can produce a large symphonic C trumpet sound to cut through any Orchestra all the same. The 4th valve adds another dimension to valve combination to aid in getting certain notes perfectly in tune dropping the horn a perfect 4th.

This is a professional highly desirable horn on everyone's wishlist in the Eb market. I wish I didn't have to let this one go. The Eb trumpet by itself WITHOUT the D bell and slides runs just under $3,300 by itself! The Yamaha version (9630) has a similar price tag. To recreate this horn would be $4,300+ in addition to the wait for Schilke to construct and fit the D bell and slides to the horn. I am asking $2,795.00 obo which includes insured shipping to the lower 48 states. I ship Internationally as well (please let me know where you are located and I'll see what I can do). Dillon's Music currently has a nice used one (Eb side only) for the same price I'm asking! I accept PayPal, Money Order, and Personal Checks.

Please feel free to email or call with any questions you may have about this Schilke.

Re: WTS: SCHILKE E3L-4 Eb/D Trumpet W/ BOTH Bells & Slides!

I'm working to expand my knowledge of mouthpieces and their effectiveness with my current trumpets. What mouthpieces work to make this horn sound like a smaller solo horn and the larger symphonic C trumpet sound that you are talking about? I would appreciate any information you can provide.
Does this horn come with any mouthpiece(s) or a case? Most Schilkes do not so I am asking for certain.
Thanks
