It deeply saddens me to put this one on the market, but I have decided to sell my Custom Yamaha YTR-9635 E/Eb trumpet. These are very rare and difficult to find on the used market, and this is the second one I have owned as I simply love them for all sorts of playing venues. It has heavy wall bells and slides for the keys of E and Eb. The body of the horn has a gold brass leadpipe. This horn has an absolutely incredible full gorgeous sound on both sides of the horn. I have played it primarily on the Eb side. This horn has 4 7/8" bells that produces such a true and authentic orchestral sound that won't break up and carries over the ensemble and has a ML (0.459") bore to help horn changes from Bb and C (and mouthpieces as well). The silver is in great condition and there are no dents or dings to speak of.

Now for the custom modifications that made this horn extra special. It has received a PVA from the master himself, Mr. Tanabe for perfect valve action. Bob Malone has also tinkered with the horn and installed a pitchfinder system on both bells for precise tuning adjustments. This works great too! For all of my playing, I left the tunable bells fixed in place as the intonation was already fantastic. This horn was formerly owned by a world class Baroque trumpet player, and I had to practically pry it from his hands.

My playing has taken me in a different direction, but I truly enjoyed every note played on this horn. The Hummel & Haydn (in E and Eb) sound absolutely amazing on the horn as well as The Ballerina dance for Petrouchka. It sings so easily. The thing that struck me with this Eb trumpet amongst all others was dynamic contrast. The sound is consistent at all dynamic levels which I truly loved. You won't be disappointed with this one.

I have put a very very attractive price on this special horn. Brand New, these YTR9635 E/Eb's are currently running just under $3,500 without the PVA and custom Malone work. Included is your choice of a Double Yamaha trumpet case (factory option) or a Yamaha Custom Double trumpet case that comes with the NY and Chicago models.
