WTS - Getzen Signature 2000 Bb Cornet in silver plate by D.E.G. Music Products Inc. A professional quality (long - non shepherd's crook) cornet from the late 1970's in very good condition and complete with original case and mouthpiece.

I have a contemporary price list of Getzen cornets and this horn was the top of the range model - (the retail price of this horn when new was $880.00).

This horn (model number 2088S) was produced by Donald E Getzen in the Getzen family tradition of high quality instruments and features their trademark light responsive valves and Amado water keys.

I have used this instrument both for Brass Banding and for combo jazz work. With the right mouthpiece it is ideal for both! The tone can be varied from the traditional "sweet" cornet sound preferred by the Banding community to the vibrant quality required by the jazz ensemble. This horn (Serial No. C 50xx) is in very good condition with no dents or scratches and has been lightly used. It has been regularly maintained and has a light valve action with all slides moving freely.

I will be sorry to see this horn go but she needs a good home where she will be appreciated and played regularly. The instrument is located in Scotland U.K and the asking price is £350.00 plus shipping.
