 | WTS/WTT - '57 Olds Super Cornet - SALE PENDING SALE PENDING 1957 Olds Super Cornet. Serial # 231901. Great Condition inside and out. No dings or dents. Valves show only minor wear in a few small spots. Compression is very good. It has been very well maintained. No signs of ding/dent removal. No red dot rot. Nearly new felts and springs. Very little playing time on them. It just doesn't have the sound I like but it plays exactly as others describe the Super's playing characteristics: a thick, dense, moderately 'fat' tone. It slots extremely well. Very easy to play. Valves move as smooth as butter. The adjustable slides also move like butter, esp. the first valve with the saddle. Comes with original case - in good condition. no odor. Original Olds #3 mouthpiece. - excellent condition. $375 shipped anywhere in North America. Will ship overseas. or TRADE: for a flugelhorn or a short, British Brass Band style cornet (the kind with that dark, warm near-flugelhorn sound). Vintage horns OK.
