![]() | Re: WTB: Monette B7F I use Schilke 11A, 11 and 11AX, and I'm curious to see what the B7F feels like. Monette horns are not for me, but I have to admit that I like his mouthpiece design! And in the description it says it "will definitely help their upper register". I really don't need to play any higher, but if that piece make my job easyer....it would be sweet..

| Pianissimo User | Re: WTB: Monette B7F Rettepnoj, Just recieved my new Monette B7FP today and have been playing it for about two hours. Immedeately I notice a consistency in resistance and sound with it and I do love the sound. Compared to my 7C, this sounds much more rich and has a brighter sound; but more exiting than the 3C (Really? The monette description is so true). However, the only downside that I notice with this mouthpiece (so far) is that the upper register HAS to have a huge amount of air constantly being pushed. Once my chromatic scale was above high B, I had to force it and then I would lose all resistance and all of the sound would just come flying out. In otherwards, once you blow it, you can sustain it

![]() | Re: WTB: Monette B7F I have a Kanstul Clone M B7F P (Prana). This is a versatile, slightly funnel-shaped mouthpiece that is very efficient. The rim is slightly flat, with a medium inner rim "bite." Can be used in almost any playing situation, including both small group jazz and some lead trumpet applications. P backbore Let me know if you are interested. It's a great peice but I don't get much time on it. I will let it go for $75 + shipping. |
