![]() ![]() | WTB Holton T602 Valve buttons & 2nd slide I found a Holton T602 at a garage sale the other day. Its a good player but a bit rough. I thought I would clean it up and donate it to a middle school near here for a kid who can't afford one. The problem is that is is missing 2 valve buttons and the 2nd valve slide is badly dented. I tried some Olds buttons that I have but the threads are different. Does anyone have an old T602 that was run over by the bus or something that would want to sell a few parts from it? I only paid $10 for the trumpet so I can't affort to go buy all new stuff even if it were available (I don't know if it is). Also, if the trumpet was out of the case when the bus ran over it, I would buy the case, too. You can reply here or PM me. Thanks

![]() | Re: WTB Holton T602 Valve buttons & 2nd slide I've been doing something similar and buying up mostly Holton Collegiates and T-602's to fox up and donate to school programs in my area and found there are differences! You might have to run the serial numbers and specify the year of production to get the parts you need. I've found that many of the T602 / Collegiate horns have different parts throughout their production. Some of the earlier T602's with the Holton "Coin" on the main tuning braces could have been made with Yamaha parts. I've also found that there were differences in the T-602 series. I bought my kids a T-602 Mk II and found it was made in the mid 80's while I also purchased a nice T-602 TR, that is visually identical and has a slightly larger bore, a 1st slide trigger and none of the parts interchange. |
